Mountune Will Make Your Ford Focus RS Even Faster

It’s unlikely many Ford Focus RS drivers will get hold of their 345bhp AWD drift machines and think “you know what, this feels a bit tame”. Regardless, the ladies and gents at Mountune have taken it upon themselves to offer a raft of upgrades for the Mk3 RS, and there’s quite a lot to choose from.

The extensive list of parts includes uprated hoses, OZ 19-inch wheels, a high-flow air filter, Quaife helical limited-slip differential, and - of course - branded floor mats. What isn’t on the list is the ‘MP’ engine upgrade package - a product Mountune has become famous for. But worry not, it’s on the way, although we’re not sure how potent it’ll be as Mountune has said: “our final sign-off is not yet complete, the kit contents, cost and power figures cannot be confirmed at this time.”

To give you an idea of exactly how the kit might shape up, Mountune offers an ‘MP275’ pack for the Focus ST, which gives a 25bhp boost for £1195 plus fitting, without affecting your warranty. What we don’t know is if the RS kit will still be warranty-friendly: we’ve reached out to Mountune for clarification, and are waiting on a response.

It looks like Mountune is really “focused” on modding the rs

£1200 for 25hp, or about £350 for at least 35hp at a tuner. No brainer lmao

“25bhp boost for £1195 plus fitting” great value for money! You’re not voiding your warranty AND you’re a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny bit faster!

I thought there was an issue where either the transmission or drivetrain was at the limit with the amount of power already

Oh please no. Why does Ford always have to flaw their cars out of the factory?
