Rare RB24S powered Cefiro A31

As the title suggests, a few months back, I was driving along in my neighborhood and outside a parking lot I saw a clean, stock Cefiro parked at the end of the parking lot, but what caught my attention is the GTS-R 2.4 lettering on its doors… I researched about it and turns out it’s a powered by a 2.4l carbed RB engine (note I do own a Honda in the U.K, but I don’t live there, I only visit for 2-3 months each year) I’m not proffering my homeland’s location on a social app so please respect that, back to the main subject, according to forums and experts, the RB24S powered trim was sold in South America (I think?) a few parts of Africa and the Middle East.

Specs aren’t plentiful since it’s a rare engine, all what I know it’s that it’s carbureted and is naturally aspirated making 141hp, it’s a pretty interesting engine since a carburetor on a not-so-old-engine seems a bit weird, but then again, it’s simpler than fuel injected versions and is cheaper to make.

I can’t share the picture I have of this car, for it’s parked right next to my Great uncle’s property. I hope you all understand

The trim is so rare, I can’t even find a pic with the exact same details, it was in Pearl white (worn out though) a factory wing that was offered for cefiros (A31), the whole thing was stock in terms of body work, and was immaculate, it had GTS-R 2.4 lettering on the doors and the trunk (GTS-R only). Looked really beautiful.

In the Philippines, such car is plentiful. Most of those who are into the drifting scene especially the beginners, are now using the Cefiro as a starter car for drifting. Sharing the same chassis as the R32 Skyline, and being rear wheel drive, it is popular for being swapped with 2JZ or 1JZ, as well as Nissan’s RB20DET and RB25DET.
