It Looks Like The Old Top Gear USA Trio Will Be Making Their Own Car Show

With Top Gear America using an all-new presenter line-up, it seems the former TG USA trio are cooking up a show of their own

This week, we received the surprise news that a new car show is being cooked up, dubbed Top Gear America.

We say surprising, because the last US-produced version of the motoring show - Top Gear USA - was as good as cancelled after its sixth series. The new show has been revealed to feature actor William Fichtner (yes, really), motoring journalist Tom Ford and drag racer Antron Brown, seemingly leaving former TG USA hosts Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust, and Rutledge Wood out of the job. But, it’s looking like the trio will have their own show.

Wood has since posted a picture of himself and his colleagues on Instagram, with the caption “can’t wait to show u what we’ve been working on! #MoreFunToCome”. Sounds very much like a new car show is in the works to us, and an insider source confirmed this to Jalopnik, saying that Wood, Foust and Ferrara are “developing a new project that takes them all over America featuring more ridiculous automotive adventures”. What’s more, they’re working with Anonymous Content, the company behind the likes of Mr Robot and True Detective.

Sounds awfully promising to us…

The only fat thing from the TGUSA is Rutledge’s head.

(If you watched it, you’d get the joke)

since the ex hosts of Top Gear(TG) became the hosts of The grand tour(TGT) so would the ex hosts of Top Gear Usa (TGU) be the hosts of Ultimate Grilled Turkeys? (UGT)

Top Gear America was really good after the first few seasons as they got away from the Top Gear format and developed into doing what suited them.

Top Gear is a brand though, so I suspect that’s the reason it’s being relaunched like this, and the point made of there being reviews and a test track and all that Top Gear stuff is telling.

I also suspect that Adam, Tanner and Rutledge will benefit from what they learned doing Top Gear and put together a show that truly showcases what they are capable of together.

Basically, this is awesome news - two more car shows that aren’t another Car Bro’ Garage.
