If You Like The Ariel Atom, You'll Definitely Back The New Zenos E10 Sports Car

This startup sports car company will offer a 650kg, road legal track weapon with a carbonfibre chassis

Remind me later
Zenos E10 We see ambitious startup sports car companies come and go all the time, and sure enough, there's a new one on the horizon<. Norfolk-based Zenos is the company in question, and it'll be launching its open-top two-seater E10 sports car at next month's Autosport International Show. The company is a joint venture between former Caterham Cars CEO Ansar Ali and COO Mark Edwards, and its E10 will feature a mid-mounted 2.0-litre 200bhp Ford engine. Zenos E10 2 That doesn't sound like much, but with a weight of just 650kg, it'll have 300bhp per tonne, enough to launch the car from 0-60mph in under five seconds. The interesting part though is the chassis. It features a monocoque made from recycled carbonfibre, which coats a thermoplastic core. Zenos says this is a "lightweight, strong and cost-effective solution." With modest power and a very low weight, this track-biased, but road legal machine, is clearly aimed at the sort of people that would normally be looking at something like an Ariel Atom, KTM X-Bow or BAC Mono. Will Zenos be another sports car startup failure? Hopefully not, as we like the sound of the E10.
