I recently upgraded my MX-5's standard clutch to an ACT performance clutch. And that got me thinking: how do they differ in terms of compounds and performance? To explain, here's YouTube's favourite engineer!

Just make sure you don’t get more clutch than you need. Sure, a heavy, difficult race clutch can be awesome to drive. However, if your car isn’t making anywhere near the power the clutch can handle and if you DD your race car, there’s no point in having that heavy race clutch. I had a Kevlar clutch on my Camaro and while the performance was awesome, it chartered too much and couldn’t handle the heat from stop & go traffic. So I’m getting an LS7 clutch now, since it’s much more suitable to my needs.
Not to mention the left leg you’d need to press in the clutch constantly in traffic with brute force due to it being a stiff racing clutch

I have this 4 paddle clutch on my skoda fabia. The thing is awesome especially on track
