I would do the same for my father. He never really wanted a special car, but he likes the thought of him owning a RS6. But then he comes back to reality and says: “it’s to expensive, I would rather travel the world. Also the maintenance costs are so high“

Yea, im in the similar situation: My Father dreaming about mint condition YELLOW Volvo 700 Series Estate…but he’s little too reasonable, notably on the topic of cars, and currently driving Fiesta, even when he could afford a Volvo, with cash left for Banana repaint, restoring n stuff. Someday, im going to be very unreasonable and then some car painter will ask me “-yellow? Are you sure?”

Same here. My dad doesn’t really seem to have such thing as a dream car, so one day I want to park a white 1974(?) Peugeot 304 sedan and give him the keys. He had one for first car so I think it would be nice to give him an as-close-as-possible replica. Finding one won’t be easy tho….
