Here's The Terrifying Moment A Driver Had A Stroke At The Wheel

A bike vlogger is seen following a car as its driver has a stroke at the wheel, crashing into multiple pieces of road furniture before coming to a stop

When someone has a medical issue behind the wheel, the results can be devastating. Thankfully, in the case of this Cadillac driver - who’d seemingly had a stroke at the wheel - the car eventually came to a stop without having hit any other vehicles.

He was spotted by a bike vlogger, with his car already wearing significant damage and a flat tyre. He’s seen weaving on and off the road, even hitting a lamppost at one point. After driving onto the verge one more time, the Cadillac dug its front wheels into the dirt and finally stopped. It wasn’t until the biker and other bystanders got to the man and turned the engine off that the wheels stopped turning.

It didn’t take long for the good Samaritans to work out that he’d had a stroke, and paramedics were quickly on the scene. According to the uploader, the driver was said to be “home and recovering” four days after this was filmed.

It’s a scary video to watch, but it’s great to see so many people stop to help.

When you’re in a situation like that you tend not to be as composed, the biker was probably just freaking out a little bit. I found myself talking to myself when I had to help stop a wrong way driver (he was going slow, but it was still scary, had to use the front of my car to stop his. Thankfully I was driving my retired police car with the push bar so it was a gentle stop)

Couldn’t help wondering if he was on cruise control or somehow kept his foot applied to the gas pedal the whole time. You’d think that if the airbags triggered then it would auto-cancel cruise control, but there’s no evidence that happened.

No, i think when he had a stroke, his body didnt give him enough energy to lift his feed of the gas. Not the first thing he thinked about, atleast he could steer the car of the road and safely.

It is unlikely but maybe that car is a manual and the guy couldn’t get it out of speed and the engine idle kept the car going.

He clearly has no control over his actions and his body anymore. Just look how cramped he is holding the steering wheel. His feet probably also is bolted to the floor and he can’t do anything against that.
My grandpa had a stroke when I was visiting him. I can tell you that is one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen.
I called the ambulance instantly but he didn’t recover and died three months later.
I really hope that this guy could be treated in time.

This happen to my dad two years ago,. It was not this bad, he could managed to get off the highway and he went on a parking lot to rest, after a few minutes a truck driver ask him to move 2 meters forward so he could drive off and my father crash in the car in front, the police came and there were thinking he was under the influence of alcohol, he call a friend that came 15 minutes later and drove him to the Hospital instantly. After this story, I think that today there is not enough prevention about strokes more people are kill by this that car crashed, Today my dad has a reduce view angle. He and the police didn’t recognize the stroke…

When the engine sucks, squeezes, bangs or blows. One of the four strokes.
