Here's The Shocking Moment A Civilian Tries To Spin A Fleeing Car

During a police chase in Utah, cops were angered when a Toyota Tacoma driver decided to join their pursuit, attempting to PIT a fleeing truck. Instead of stopping the pursuit, the fleeing car was pushed into oncoming traffic

There are countless videos on YouTube of ‘good Samaritans’ helping to put an end to conflict, and for the most part they serve as a nice reminder that humans are mostly good. Sometimes, however, your good intentions are best kept in check, and that’s particularly true when it comes to stopping police chases.

We’ve all heard the stories of truck drivers hearing pursuits on their radios and working together to block the road, but actually attempting to spin a fleeing car is going a bit too far. That was the scenario faced by police in Utah, America, this week, as a Toyota Tacoma driver pulled alongside a fleeing vehicle and sideswiped it in a misguided attempt to PIT the car.

The pursuit started after citizens called police to report a Nissan Frontier driving quickly with its lights off. Police found the vehicle, which refused to stop, and eventually managed to burst its tyres. During the chase, the heavily-sparking pickup passed Rachelle Fernandez in her Toyota Tacoma, at which point the former marine decided to pull alongside the Nissan and attempt to stop the chase. Instead, she pushed the fleeing vehicle into oncoming traffic, and was later arrested for her actions.

The driver of the fleeing Nissan Frontier, Andre Cruz Martinez, was also arrested. He claimed he was speeding because someone had a gun pointed at him, however police say he was alone in the car.

Meet Michèle Mouton, Group B rally driver with four victories and a runner-up finish under her belt, as well as breaking the record time at the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb…twice. Bobby Unser (the previous record-holder) was butthurt about losing his record to a woman, to which she replied, “If you have the balls you can try to race me back down as well.”

How dumb can you be? Cops have much more control over any situation than any civi in a truck thinks they have. So get out of the way when you see blue lights!
