Here's The New Hyundai Veloster Rendered In Convertible And 'Poverty Spec' Forms

Following the reveal of a new car, we’d normally be keeping an eye out for the first sportified renders. Take the VW Jetta, for example - it didn’t take long for a GTI version to be digitally created. For the new Veloster though, there’s no need - Hyundai’s N department has already created a hot, 271bhp version. Ah.

But worry not, as there are still plenty of guises to Photoshop the quirky coupe into. This particular pair comes from X-Tomi Design - the same chap responsible for the aforementioned Jetta GTI render - imagining the Veloster as a convertible and in ‘poverty spec’.

Here's The New Hyundai Veloster Rendered In Convertible And 'Poverty Spec' Forms

A convertible Veloster isn’t something we’re expecting - a roll-top concept version of the previous generation car is the closest thing we’ve seen to a proper Veloster drop-top. But hey, it’s fun to dream.

The base spec car meanwhile looks oddly charming with its black bumper, mirrors and door handles plus those steel wheels, doesn’t it? It reminds us of the similarly attired, Japanese market-only Toyota GT86 RC.

How would you like to see the new Veloster rendered?

A Pikes Peak time attack version would be ace! Let’s see what it would look like if Rhys Millen got his hands on it!

That convertible looks cool…
But the true question is would it fit a hellcat crate?

I love the poverty spec, as long as I can afford it.

Lifted with mud tires and awd. Maybe a light bar for good measure.

I’d like to see T-tops or a Targa top version.

Are plastic non-painted front bumpers a thing in the UK for poverty spec cars? They are pretty much not even seen in the US! We like out FULL car painted ;P
