Here's The New A-Class Saloon Rendered In AMG A45 And Estate Forms

We can’t be sure if Mercedes will hand its new A-Class saloon over to the performance nutters at AMG in Affalterbach for a makeover, but thanks to the wonders of Photoshop, we can see how such a car might look regardless.

It’s a handsome little devil, isn’t it? With lower suspension, bigger wheels and a new front apron, friendly neighbourhood renderer X-Tomi Design has upped the four-door A’s aggression nicely. Is it just us, or does this look better proportioned than an Audi RS3 saloon?

Should Mercedes-AMG make such a thing, it’d share its mechanicals with the incoming A45 hatchback. Judging by the most recent set of rumours, that’d mean over 400bhp from a 2.0-litre inline-four turbo, packaged with an all-wheel drive system that’s more willing to involve the rear boots than the setup found in the outgoing car.

X-Tomi hasn’t just given us an imaginary A45 saloon to look at, though - we also have this A-Class estate to examine. We like what we see, on the whole, but this isn’t something we’re expecting Mercedes to make. Not because Mercedes is intending to make another CLA Shooting Brake - even for Stuttgart, that was a niche too far, and the word is that the car won’t be renewed.
