Here's The Limited-Run McLaren BC-03 Hypercar Before You're Supposed To See It

McLaren's Senna-based hypercar - inspired by a Vision Gran Turismo concept - has been leaked online

If you’ve been struggling to keep up with all the new McLaren models, here’s some bad news - another is about to join the mix. It’s codenamed BC-03, and it’s been leaked on Instagram before the intended debut.

It’ll be based on the Senna, but thanks to a hybrid powertrain, it’ll be significantly more powerful. We’re expecting an output of 1150bhp, compared to a mere 789bhp in the Senna.

The shouty internal combustion element of the equation remains - as you’d expect - a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. The Senna’s carbon tub and suspension will be carried over too.

The familial link to the Senna is clear, but there are some radical departures, most notably the vast rear wing which neatly blends into the rear of the car. That’s down to the BC-03 taking styling inspiration from 2017’s Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo virtual concept car. Is it a worthy homage? We’ll let you decide that one in the comments.

We’ve no idea how much it costs, but it’s safe to expect a seven-figure price tag. It’ll be exclusive, too - the word is only six will be made.

The Senna wasn’t much of a looker (I know many people disagree), but this is a thing of beauty to behold.

The side proportions are a little odd, but I’m sure they’re tested a proven. Glad to see McLaren coming out with so much over the past few years!
