Here's How To Combat Rogue Cyclists In The Most British Way Possible

We've all seen it before: a cyclist illegally racing straight across a pedestrian crossing while people are walking across. Helmet-cam footage taken in London shows one man doing his awkward British best to get in the way

Great Britain is a wonderful place, full of beautiful scenery, kind people and charitable endeavour. And then there’s London, where cyclists hate everyone and do their best to get on everyone else’s nerves on a daily basis.

In this brilliantly British footage filmed on a helmet-mounted camera, a lycra-clad cyclist illegally tries to cycle through a pedestrian crossing while people are using it. But one be-suited man is having none of it, giving the rider an ear-bashing over his attempt to flout the law.

Here's How To Combat Rogue Cyclists In The Most British Way Possible

Possibly our favourite thing about this video is that while the two men are arguing, everyone around them simply sets themselves to Maximum British, completely ignoring the situation. Enjoy the video.

Britain: The only country where you could make not holding the door open punishable by death and people would be happier than Boris Johnson on a zip line

I hate the fact that most London cyclists believe that the highway code is not for them and that they always have the right of way
They even can totally ignore red traffic lights

Here in Portugal is the same. When I see cyclists stopping red lights I even compliment them, as it’s a very rare event.

You totally missed the 8 cyclists that did stop

I want to shake that mans hand. Some cyclists disregard road traffic rules and then pretend to be the victims when something happens… Not all cyclists ofcourse

can’t disagree. The two worst places for cyclists who don’t follow the rules are London & Cheshire.

I hate when cyclists do that. I am one myself and I see plenty of cyclists smashing laws and, when they cut in front of a car or something, they always complain the car’s not stopping for them.

saw something similar whilst driving the other day. Lights at pedestrian crossing turned red. Cyclist stopped but instead of putting his feet on the ground to balance himself, gradually kept on creeping forward. By the time the lights had turned green again he was already two thirds of the way over the crossing anyway, numpty.

Here in Madrid, Spain, not even the cars respect this norm. They don’t wait the pedestrian to reach the sidewalk to cross the zebra.
