Here's How The Corvette ZR1 Will Look As A Convertible

Just days after Chevrolet introduced us to the 745bhp Corvette ZR1, someone's used Photoshop to turn it into a monster raving convertible with a really big rear wing
Here's How The Corvette ZR1 Will Look As A Convertible

It’s only been a couple of days since General Motors unveiled the evil-looking C7 Corvette ZR1, but that hasn’t stopped people from using their imagination to try and make it better. As is the case with any Corvette, the new ZR1 begs the question: how would it look as a convertible?

A drop-top ZR1 is expected at some point, but for now here’s a preview courtesy of prolific Internet render maestro X-Tomi Design. He’s chopped the roof off the ZR1 in the virtual world, leaving behind an aggressive-looking roadster with a really big rear wing.

Unlike a lot of convertibles, however, we think the roof delete makes the all-powerful ‘Vette look even more like a track weapon than its hard-topped cousin.

What do you think of it?

I think the coupe should have the big wing, but the convertible with the big wing looks a little weird

With the low wing though, that would make a badass convertible

Why people don’t like wings…
I just don’t get it and probably never will. And it’s a vast number of car people that don’t like wings of all people!

I’ve made $84,000 so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. The potential with this is endless. Here’s what I do././././././././././././././ Fox90.CoM

I’d take the big wing off for a drop top, and luckily optional. There’s a smaller wing available for a less extreme package, just with the loss of the 950 lbs of downforce.

Is it just a me that thinks it’s a bit, well a bit much, it maybe a serious track car but I can’t help but get the feeling that it’s maybe trying to hard, probably just me. (Let the downvotes come in lol it’s the car culture opinions don’t matter lol).

Tha ACR is bo different with the aero kit and huge wing Lol. but i think the Zr1 can come with a smaller wing thats less noticable.

I’ve never understood why the Z06 has a convertible variant when the coupe one has a removable roof. Now this just makes me endlessly question what the point actually is of a convertible ZR1, a bonafide track star. 😥

The regular with the removable roof is a bit like a Targa top, like on old 911s, heck even old Corvettes, and like on the new 911 Targa from the current generation, save for the fact that the 911 Targa’s roof is powered and the Corvette’s has to be removed by hand. As to why they do this with the Z06 and ZR1, I suppose it’s just because people want to experience it as a convertible, just as people want to experience a Lamborghini Aventador SV as a convertible. It takes away from the performance, sure, but it adds to the experience.
