Here's A Leaked Official Image Of The McLaren 720S For Your Viewing Pleasure

Thanks to an image leaked on Instagram a few weeks ago, we already have a good idea of what McLaren’s 650S replacement looks like. But if you were irked by the potato-spec quality of that particular picture, you’ll appreciate the latest leak much more, as it consists of a reasonably high-resolution, official shot.

News agency Bloomberg pushed out the image by mistake (oops) and have since removed it, but not before it was picked up and liberally distributed throughout the Internet. What’s particularly crucial, is it confirms the 720S title for the car currently codenamed ‘P14’, in turn revealing that the power output is indeed 710bhp (720S).

It also shows the car’s interior plus its spectacular dihedral doors, the top edges of which seem to meet in the middle and above the roof when opened. We like.

The leak comes amidst a relentless teaser campaign from McLaren, which has thus far revealed a futuristic folding dual instrument display (above), clever aero and cooling solutions and much more besides.

For the full reveal, you’ll have to wait until next Tuesday, where the car will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
