Might be because elephants can accelerate quickly? And he didn’t want to risk turning around and taking his eyes off it? I don’t know just guessing though
pull a 180 with a passenger on the back, with half the road, and turn with an elephant staring you down. unless your a motorcycle drifting master, I’d like to see anyone try.

Why don’t they just turn around? Just twist the throttle as soon it’s in the right way back.
The Kawasaki Z800 is a very heavy, not easy too turn around and also more hard to make a turn with someone on the back. Also maybe the guy was thinking he din’t has the time too make the turn because the elephant could have charged him ,so run was a better obtion :)

Why in the world would you get off your bike and run lmao. Turn that bike around as soon as you see the elephant and get some more distance!
he wanted to leave the bike as a gift..!! what the hell man, can’t a person give motorcycles to elephants anymore..? jeez..!! XD (I honestly don’t know, someone said it’ll be hard to turn with 2 people, I just don’t see it.. guess we’ll never know why..)
