When WRC cars sounded as mean as they looked!

Because modern F1 cars sounded good too, up until recently!

A great sound from a hugely successful F1 car, which took 16 wins and four world titles (two drivers’ championships, two constructors’) in 1989 and 1990.

The FW14 is the best sounding Williams. Original V10 that started the dominance of that arrangement.

It might not be an ‘eargasm’ however I have always loved the sound of hybrid cars switching to ICE on the move - it might not be an exhaust noise but there’s a lot to be said for the mechanical noises that a racing car makes. Such as a gearshift or rubbing brake pads etc…
