F Gary Gray Confirmed As Fast & Furious 8 Director

F. Gary Gray has today confirmed that he will be the director of Fast & Furious 8. The man who oversaw Straight Outta Compton took to Twitter today to say he "Can’t ask for better partners than Vin, Neal & Universal."

Preproduction has already begun, and with no director at the helm rumours circulated that the F&F team were struggling to find anyone who would work with Vin Diesel. The actor is said to have been very difficult to work with on Furious 7, something he and the crew have denied.

According to Deadline, Gray was always at the top of the short list after directing Straight Outta Compton, which received critical acclaim and raked in $200 million worldwide.

Fast & Furious 8 will hit cinemas on 14 April 2017.
