Adding gold bodywork detailing – and a lot of it – to a black BMW isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Manhart normally can’t get enough, splashing big gold decals all over any and all fast BMWs it can get its hands on… but not this time, and this Z4 is all the better for it.
The Manhart-modified Z4 features trademark gold lines accentuating the edges of its front and rear key shapes, as well as the very outer edge of the wheel rims. On top of that there are low-placed side stripes echoed on the mirror caps and an offset bonnet and boot stripe. Overall, the effect is less arresting than, say, Manhart’s MH5 700, and we like the Zed more as a result.
There’s a subtle body kit, new black wheels and a boot spoiler extension that we love, highlighting the handsome Z4’s best features without making it look like it was dragged through a car parts warehouse while covered in superglue.
We don’t know whether there are performance upgrades to add to the mix but it’s likely. We’ll keep an eye out for those. Let us know what you think of Manhart’s latest creation in the comments.
