**HOT TAKE OF THE WEEK**

So I’m starting a series very creatively called HOT TAKES and I’m gonna post car related stuff that not all people can relate to. I’m doing this not just for the sake of being controversial but because I genuinely want to spark some conversations and observe the opinions of all you car people

OPEL IS JUST BETTER THAN VAUXHALL. I want to say that I live in southern europe where Opel is the equivalent of Vauxhall so I’m already a bit biased. BUT. I don’t consider Opel to be better because I’m more familiar to it. I have done my research and through the years Opel has made some truly amazing pieces of automotive machinery. From the 12.3 liter Green Monster in their early days, to the gorgeous GT from the 60s, Opel always produced some really good sportscars. If someone takes a look at their racing heritage and see cars such as the WRC and Safari Rally winning Manta, the Vectra GTS V8 and the Adam S, then it’s pretty obvious why they are so good at making so thrilling road cars. Meanwhile, Vauxhall had no affiliation with the motorsport department and they only got some rebadged versions of the sporty Opels. And thats the ultimate reason of why I prefer Opel. The racing heritage. When the majority of their cars where basically identical, the motor racing inspired ones where what defined Opel and made it special to me at least. Not to mention their exclusive cars, such as the VERY american looking Diplomat (which even got a V8 in some versions) and the criminally underrated Ascona (a true BMW 2000 series competitor in all respects)
