Alfa Giulia Laughs In The Face Of The Electronically Limited Germans By Hitting 183mph

Following years of crummy Alfa after crummy, we should revel in the fact the company now makes a rear-wheel drive saloon that's capable of nudging 200mph - something demonstrated in this POV autobahn run

Impressive though this 183mph (295kmh) effort is, it’s worth pointing out that the Giulia Quadrifoglio can actually go a little quicker than this. Its official top speed is 190mph, far in excess of its electronically-limited German rivals.

We’re not sure nudging 200mph on a wet autobahn is entirely advisable, though…

But you can just remove the limiter from the German cars, there are packages from BMW and Mercedes for example. Pretty sure the M5 F10 does 200mph+ as well as the RS6

It’s more so about the fact that you can’t just take an m5 or rs6 off the showroom and hit 200 mph. Alpha lets you hit 183 mph without paying a premium.

Link does not seem clickable, to me atleast.

But is the Cadillac with its massive 6.2 liter engine even a good example to compare the Giulia with?
