What is the best E46 navigation unit?

Since I’ve bought my E46 some things have been bugging me, one of them being it’s abilty to break driveshafts at will, the other one being the outdated navigation system.

I currently have the Factory 16:9 Navigation system that BMW offers on the E46 model. Sadly there aren’t any more updates to the navigation maps. This mainly why I am looking at a replacement, and while I’m there I might aswell look into some bluetooth connectivity. I still want it to look factory, so no double DIN options for me. I’ve looked into the dynavin and the AVIN but they seem a bit expensive to me.

Is there anybody who can offer some advise on E46 headunits?

When you say 16:9 you mean this obc?

Yes sir.

I have the Dynavin,and its worth every penny.

I Just can’t justify spending More than 800 euro’s on a navigation system especially when there are simulair Systems out there for half the price.

For that price I’d rather buy some bilstein pss14’s :p

If you have 16:9 double slot (i.e. double-DIN) navigation unit, then there is plenty off-the-shelf units which can be interfaced with the car (multifunction buttons on the steering wheel).

Why do you think there is no double din option for you?

However, I would not recommend any of this Android systems, as they are mostly based on the nowadays old 4.4 Android and tend to have low user experience.
