Clio 172/182 Model Guide

The Clio 172 was introduced in 2001. Spec included Xenons, half leather seats, climate control, as well as an optional sat nav.
The 172 was available in Monaco Blue, Iceberg Silver, Pearl Black as well as Flame Red.
From 2002 traction control was introduced, with cruise control added in 2003.

In 2002 the Clio 172 cup was introduced.
Xenons were removed for the cup, half leather seats were replaced with cloth ones, ABS was also removed. Manual air con was an option.
It also added lower, firmer suspension with a wider track, as well as a front splitter and a larger rear spoiler.
The cup was only available in Mondial Blue and Iceberg Silver.

2004 brought us the Clio 182.
Spec included Xenons, half leather seats, climate control, traction control and cruise control all as standard.
The appearance was improved with a more distinctive twin exhaust system.
There were optional extras such as Sat Nav, Recaro seats, racing stripes(racing blue only) as well as the cup packs.

There were two cup packs available, a suspension pack and a spoiler pack.
The spoiler pack is the same rear spoiler fitted to the 172 cup, with the suspension pack including anthracite wheels, lower, firmer suspension and a wider track.

The 182 was available in Black Gold, Titanium, Inferno, Petrol Blue, Liquid Yellow, Arctic Blue and Racing Blue.

The Clio 182 cup was released in 2004. Similar to the 172 cup, it lost the Xenons and replaced the seats for cloth ones.
Traction control, cruise control as well as both cup packs were available as standard.
The cup was only available in Inferno and Racing Blue.

In 2005, the Clio 182 Trophy was released, this was a limited run of 500, lightweight car designed for supercar beating cornering ability.
The Trophy also lost Xenons, with the seats replaced with half leather recaro’s.
It also kept traction control, cruise control as well as manual air conditioning.

The best feature was the Sachs suspension, this took an already great handling car and made it into an unbelievable track weapon.
