Can anyone explain me that how a gearbox is mounted in a mid engined rear wheel drive car?

transaxle on the engine
In a cayman trans to the front driveshafts to the back.
You mean an RMR or an FMR?
On an FMR, it’s after the engine towards the rear differential, just like an FFR.
On an RMR it’s a bit more complicated. The differential is usually integrated in the gearbox and seat between the engine and gearbox. The driveshaft goes through it to the gearbox. Maybe this picture would clear things up.
This is a Ferrari 360 Modena engine. Notice the differential is integrated to the gearbox.

Also, because I know you’ll ask after this, on RRRs (aka 911s) it works like an FFR or FFA, only backwards.
