My z33 shuts off when I slow down

I just got my car back from the shop Thursday night and, it seemed fine but the next day everytime I come to a light or stop sign. it wants to shut off and, it seems I have to press on the gas a bit to keep it from turning off before coming to complete stop. can anybody help find out the problem? My friend told me it could be the maf or iac.

Scan it for any codes?

The check engine light would probably turn on if it was a code

Warning this is wordy Is it slow to start when cranking and dash lights appear dimmer than usual while doing so? Eliminate the easier things first- (if you or your shop can) fully charge the battery, do a load test, if it falls drastically while loading or drops below 10 volts change the battery. Also check the voltage of the alternator with engine running, lights on & a/c on, if it charges at or around 14 volts then it’s good, if it charges i.e. at 11 volts (weak) and/or well below you will need a new alternator. In your original post your symptom is feathering the gas pedal to keep it from dying while stopped, “typically” that means the alternator is going dead bc it is not charging the battery as the engine runs, therefore the car is trying to run solely off of the battery until it dies.

Could be throttle positioning sensors, when they go bad the can cause the car to stall out at stops, is your car a manual? I had to replace Mine it was about 180$

I had this problem a while back as well. Occasional rough idle and intermittent stalling at lights. It ended up being my camshaft position sensor. Not to hard to replace but it was about 60 bucks from autozone.

I had those recently replaced when i did the engine swap and the check engine light would come on if it was the cam sensor

Is it possible that the wire that connectd to the starter be an issue

Yes 180$ for both sensors, they’re a fairly easy fix you can find a tutorial on YouTube that makes it pretty simple
