Facts you probably didn't know about the Toyota GT86

The GT86 is the current budget mid-performance car of Toyota. Here are some some interesting fact about the Toyota GT86

1) Subaru manufactures the GT86:
Subaru is the actual manufacturer of the Toyota 86. Subara is a japanese car manufaturer owned by Toyota. So, the 86 are only badged as toyota but they are’nt a Toyota.

2) Boxer Engine:
The 86’s have 2.0 Ltr boxer engines which are really rare. Boxer engines give the 86 lower point of gravity for better handling. Typically, the engine layout has cylinders arranged in two banks on either side of a single crankshaft and is otherwise known as the boxer engine.

3) 86 Everywhere:
The Toyota 86 has the heritage of 86 written all over it. The number 86 is showcased in the logo along with boxer diagram. The diameter of the exhaust pipes of a GT86 is 86mm. The radius of each piston block of the boxer engine is also 86mm.

Toyota doesn’t own Subaru. Toyota “collaborated” with Subaru to build the Toybaru 86/BRZ.

This car need a more powerful 4cyl, the boxer engine has a lag between the power in relation to pressing the accelerater due to the engine being setup like this
2—-2 ( cylinder layout)
A 2.0 ltr flat or v4 engine would be more suitable then either turbocharged or supercharged.

It wouldn’t be more suitable considering than they wanted cornering abylity over power. The lag of power also come from the regulation for the exhaust with create some kind of “hole” on the torque curb when you dyno it stock
