When it comes to modified cars, you can't beat a tasty engine swap. And this is one tasty engine swap. Built by tuning specialists Swedish Ops, this mad creation combines two things we love: an old Volvo and a big V8.

The recipe was simple: take a Volvo 122 Amazon, drop in a 6.2-litre GM LS3 V8, and drop in countless bespoke parts to help the car cope with all that extra firepower.

The V8 belts out over 600bhp, a very potent figure in an old, light car like this. Adjustable coilovers and high-performance six-pot Wilwood brakes keep everything under control, while the car sits low on a set of chunky 18-inch brushed aluminium Boze wheels.
