A Florida Man Repeatedly Shot Two AT&T Trucks That Parked Outside His House

Never mind the fact that a stray bullet or ricochet could have gone anywhere: this man's decision to start shooting telecoms company trucks full of holes beggars belief

What’s the correct social protocol when a working vehicle parks in front of your driveway? Hands up who voted for ‘shoot the tyres out and get yourself arrested’?

That’s exactly what one extremely angry Florida man decided was the bst course of acion after a pair of AT&T trucks pulled up to carry out works, partially blocking his driveway. No, really. He actually got his revolver and started putting holes in the trucks.

A Florida Man Repeatedly Shot Two AT&T Trucks That Parked Outside His House

I get the frustration. I do. My own driveway, on a narrow one-way street, gets blocked by unloading vans all the time. It’s annoying but either you ignore it, because the van won’t be there for too long anyway, or you politely ask the driver to move because you need to get your car off your drive. It’s not difficult – or maybe that’s just the British way.

This video shows what happens when you do the other thing. The man, who apparently told police he ‘just went bananas’ after the AT&T trucks set up outside his house, is reportedly a former fireman who served the Miami-Dade department for 34 years. He was arrested on site but released from jail later that day after being charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm as well as one count of felony vandalism.

As someone from Florida, you’re better off avoiding the humid hell hole unless you wanna go racing . Or work for NASA. :)

I live there. And my dream holiday always seems to happen far away from it.

Well… If someone’s trying to break into your house at midnight, etc. It’s always better to have a .22 vs. a machete, kitchen knife. Now, I don’t agree with how easily it is for a single person to gain access to firearms, like a mentally-ill or all around unstable

That could take all day to answer but when you revolt against one of the most powerful militaries in the world back in the late 18th century, it’s important people are armed. The right to bear arms is the 2nd ammendment in the Bill of Rights.

Because guns exist. There’s no un-inventing them. So here in America, we recognize that banning guns won’t eliminate them, so if you can’t beat them, join them. I’d rather a room full of crazy gun owners than a room full of unarmed people, and one crazy guy with an illegal gun.

The 2nd amendment was good on paper: giving a right to people to protect themselves even lethally. But in reality it caused just more deaths than necessary every year (amongst criminals but also victims) without necessarily lowering the rate of property crimes, theft and robbery as regard to other western countries (England or France for example) where people can’t keep a loaded weapon on them. It gives an even easier access to guns for criminals than they can have in EU…and most of the times they work harder to know how to use it deadly than the average US citizen…
Moreover there is 10 times higher guns homicides per million people in US than in Europe every year. And believe that Europe has a way worst integration policy than in US creating even more problems than in the Uncle Sam country :/ . Guns could have been a good tool…if their regulation has been better controlled.

Am I the only person who read it as “two AT-ATs” instead of “two AT&T trucks”?

Surely shooting out tyres and engines will mean the trucks are there longer because they cant move. Either this guy is having problems at home or he needs serious therapy. Possibly both.
