So, the biker actually earned money by breaking the law? Suddenly, I want to do some burnouts with my own car… ….In front of the police.

He made such a stupid invalid excuse aswell, muscles so called ‘fired’, was he posessed or something where he can’t even stop himself from kicking a guy who was clearly following instructions.

Disgusting behaviour from those out to protect us. Not all police are like this, but it’s good to show awareness for those who do this just what the repercussions will be.

While I agree, I feel like the Internet and media in general shows the bad sides of cops far too often and more than the good side

The thing that’s really eye opening is that he was promoted to captain. So I assume that cop for the most part he must be a good cop. Just had a lapse in judgement. He was in an unmarked car so obviously the was no way the biker would have known he was a cop with the limited vision he had with the helmet. Even so unmarked cars are something you aren’t legally required to stop for. The biker shouldn’t have had to deal with that but then again could have all been prevented if he didn’t ride like a d!ck. Another one of those situations that no matter who you side with there is always someone saying you are wrong.

I don’t get it, if it is so dangerous to overtake in a no overtake zone, how come the cop also did an overtake? I guess he didn’t have police lights, otherwise the biker would have stopped… I think no overtake zones are kind of pointless because you only overtake when you are 100% sure that you can finish overtaking safely, that’s the rule, but then there are parts where you could start overtaking a bit earlier (like right after a turn) and no, there is the no overtake zone. And with a bike you can overtake safely simply because it can accelerate much, much faster.
I agree that the biker broke the law, but sometimes I can’t agree with the law.

My personal favorite is when you are on a straight flat road and there’s no overtaking zone. Then when there finally is one, you are going up a hill and can’t see what’s coming. Brilliant spot…guess I’ll wait 10 more miles for the next one >.<

The US has some of the worst overtaking zones… It seems like in the UK and what not the back roads have tons of passing areas. That and our absolutely stupid speed limits for our backroads. It makes sense to me to increase the speed limit, but not pull people over if they want to go under. Then just let people by if they want to go faster…. Rather than be the a-hole who does 15-25mph in a 45mph and won’t pull off…

I guess the cop didn’t want to blow his cover, so instead of turning on his lights (even undercover cars have lights, just not on top of the roof) he played the part of a damned maniac who runs over the back end of the guy’s bike and nearly its rider. FFS if it were a normal civilian he probably would’ve been shot.

Reprimand and later promoted? I remember hearing a few years ago some veteran and respected police officers lost their jobs in my country because of an ambiguously racist koozie/stubby holder. That guy shouldn’t still be in the police department, he’s obviously on a power trip and apparently incapable of being professional.
