2007 Ford Focus Saloon ST Project

This is my first ‘project car’. A 2007 Ford Focus Ghia 2.0 Mk2 Saloon which is undergoing a full one off ST conversion.

I bought this in Sheffield for £650 with 94,000 miles on the clock. It was a solid car which run and drove well but was very unloved with numerous dents, tired paint and a leaking boot.

I drive it home and spent the afternoon wet vaccing the interior to remove the smell of dog and damp. Despite my reservations it came up really well and the velour was in superb condition under the grime.

Next I raided my ford dealer for a load of parts:
2 front wings
ST front bumper and grilles
ST fog lights and surrounds
New boot carpet
2 New boot vents (source of the leak)
Facelift console side panels
Assortment of clips
Side skirt kit

I also trawled eBay for:
ST rear bumper
ST 18” alloy wheels
Facelift centre console
ST seats front and rear
New ST floor mats
OEM xenon headlights
OEM mk1 Focus Spoiler from a US spec ZTS

Then it was off with the old parts, wheels, engine and interior and on with the new wheels and bumpers. The car has been collected for paint and is currently receiving a full respray in Electric orange pearlescent plus a custom rear bumper.
Once it’s back the build continues…

Thats a great project. You really need to lower it, too

Thanks! The lower suspension and new brakes etc will be going on once it’s back from paint and has its new engine.
