7 Brilliant Cars Uploaded To The CT Garage Last Week

We've cast our eye on last week's Car Throttle Garage uploads, and we like what we see!

Having driven an old Skoda Rapid for the first time last week (in the form of a 136, full report coming soon) I just had to include this sweet 130. Details are limited, but the post has plenty of images. Make sure you head over to the link and check them out.

Long before car manufacturers starting sticking black plastic wheel arch trim on cars and lifting the suspension ever-so-slightly to create lifestyle vehicles, VW produced an off-road-ified motor with a little more substance. Called the Golf Country, just 3000 were made, each co-manufactured by Mercedes G-Wagen makers Steyr-Daimler-Puch.

Changes over the regular Mk2 Golf include the addition of four-wheel drive, a drastically increased ride height, and a jolly great skid plate. CT user LetsRaid owns one, and we can’t help but be a little jealous…

This one has been extensively restored during his three years of ownership, and the four-wheel drive system has been upgraded.

Supercar spotter, YouTuber and blue car fanatic Tim Burton - aka Shmee150 - has been a busy lad in the car buying stakes this year. Not content with purchasing a McLaren 675 LT and a Ferrari FF (well, every supercar should be backed up by a comfortable daily driver…), Tim also got himself a Cayman GT4. In blue, of course.

Shmee wasn’t the only YouTuber to upload a car to the CT Garage last week, with Vehicle Virgins posting up his 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo, affectionally known as Candice.

A standard Fiat Uno is something we’d never get excited about. But an Uno Turbo? That’s a helping of fast Italian quirkiness we can’t help but ignore. Sure, they were never that powerful, but with a pithy 845kg weight figure, these are decently quick. The one belonging to this user is quicker still, with the power raised to around 115bhp.

The third-generation Mustang is hardly the most celebrated version of the classic pony car, but Josh’s looks like an exceptional example thanks to a fresh coat of paint. We can’t wait to see what he does with it.

We’re already big fans of the Defender, but the fact that this example is ex-military just adds to the intrigue. This particular car was based in Afghanistan until 1992, and received a hardtop conversion at some point in its life.
