A leaked pic of the new Genesis G70! (Updated with additional pictures)

This is a leaked picture of the new Genesis G70, a new luxury compact sedan under Hyundai’s Genesis luxury division. This is expected to compete with the likes of the 3 Series, A4, C Class, Giulia, and the like. This car will be based off the chassis of the Kia Stinger, but this will also be shorter, narrower, and lighter than its Kia relative with a shorter wheelbase. The G70 will use a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine and a 3.3 liter twin turbo V6 engine for higher trim levels (just like the Stinger). A hybrid version and a 2.2 liter turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine will likely be available as well. An official reveal of this car will be on September 15 in Seoul, South Korea, but before that could happen, a user on Reddit had already captured a picture of it in the flesh. Funnily enough, Genesis teased the G70 around the same time this picture of the G70 was leaked.

Pictures of the interior have also surfaced on the Internet in recent times.

This car will likely start in the mid to low $30,000 (USD) range. More details of the new G70 will be shared once the car makes its official debut.

It looks like a C-Class. Kinda nice!

Yeah it’s very Mercedes like but I think the G70 looks better from that view though. The C Class rear kinda looks droopy, this one doesn’t look that way.

If the price is right, I think I will be seeing a lot of them on the roads this side of the forest. I like it, personally. Not my kind of thing but definitely something different.

Yeah but they have to make profit and thus cant be lower then the competion think about it. Not everyone is into cars like us😭😭😭 . Even if its priced at 30k cad most people would go for a mercedes or a bmw for 5k more. Most people automatically assume what car is good depending on brand and price. Its always about image and most people think Hyundai/gensis is a regular brand not a high end. Me tho im prolly one the few people who would pick this up insted of them german whips.

Manufacturers should just use a V6 instead of turbo fours and a V8 instead of twin turbo V6s. It seems to me putting a four cylinder inside what is supposed to be a relatively heavy car just doesn’t make much sense, even if the turbo four makes a ton of power. Otherwise, the Genesis looks good, like always.
