Traffic accident (in my town)... Rider was hospitalized (hopefully okay), passengers in the van were able to walk away without a scratch... Airbags inside the van are not activated, meaning it was the biker that hit the car and not the car the biker...

In the second picture, black line is biker and red line is van. Scenario recreation biker view (my opinion): Biker rides down the street at about 70km/h. His attention is attracted by something so he looks off the road shortly. Before he concentrates on the road again, a woman in a van tries to cut him off. He underestimates this move and only applies the brakes slightly, and he just tries to turn and avoid the van. As I said, he underestimated the woman’s move and thought he could avoid her, but he couldn’t. A collision happens at about 60km/h and the biker hits the van at a bad angle. He flies 1 meter over the van and lands on his back side. He remains concious but is in pain. Scenario recreation woman view: A woman decides to exit from a parking lot onto a street and prepares to take a left. She looks left and right but the biker is in her blind spot. She doesn’t see him and just starts going. Seconds later she feels hard impact on the right side of the van and then sees the biker fly over her car and land on her left. In panic, she gets out to help the biker. A lot of people gather to see what’s happening. Soon, the police and fire department arrive. An ambulance first shows up half an hour later. END. Yeah, pretty bad, I hope everyone’s okay and I would say both the van driver and biker are in fault for letting this accident happen. So, please drive carefully people… Speeding? Autobahn. Taking corners? Track. Enjoying your drive? Empty backroad.
