A&P Performance: KPG-C110 and BNR34 for PCR GT Championship Round 2

Although we are one round late, we are also participating in the PCR GT Championship. The upcoming round is the Skyline Memorial, meaning all Skylines presented in the game can participate. We’re joining the race with 2 cars, both rated at B199, the R34 GT-R (driven by Pavel N., my brother) and the C110 “Kenmeri” GT-R, (driven by Alexey K., me).

Like in the previous round, cars are ought to be in class B, so their performance rating has to be between 101 and 200.
The R34 GT-R starts quite high in B class, partially thanks to its highly renown and praised RB26DETT engine, and with our necessary running gear upgrades consisting of VX Performance coilovers, Trembo brakes and semi slick tyres, we have 174 p.r. to work with. With just 26 points left, we cannot do much about the engine, but since it’s so good we decided that it didn’t even need much of tuning interference.
For the Kenmeri, which is not nearly as quick as the R34, we decided that it needed a more powerful engine to start with, so we swapped in an RB26, as it proved itself as a great racing engine. Of course, along with the engine upgrades, we equipped it with the same running gear upgrades as the R34 and, to help with the chassis rigidity, a full roll cage.

Coming to engine upgrades, the R34’s RB was more powerful than the one from the crate that we put in the Kenmeri so we had to find ways to make as much powerful as possible without spending too much of p.r. We ended up with a fairly basic set of upgrades, that being the Flow Burn-R exhaust, VX Max intake and the VX Type S Black intercooler. We didn’t do anything else to it as it would’ve been too expensive for the p.r. we had remaining or simply wouldn’t have been as good in terms of performance (simply boosting up wouldn’t have been as effective in given regulations).
For Kenmeri’s RB26, we did a bit more to help it stay at R34’s level. First of all, we replaced the stock pistons for forged ones dubbed VX Forge. The new intercooler is the VX Type M Black, and lastly, the intake and exhaust are PR Intake and Flow R respectively.
Since there are no turbo or ECU upgrades on both of these cars, we cannot change the boost or launch control settings

The gearboxes have been fiddled with, and the new, closer gear ratios are shared across both of our Skylines. We believe these ratios fit the RB26 (which, as you know, powers both of our cars) and provides for good balance in acceleration and top speed (which is approximately 300 km/h or 180 mph), which is necessary for such a course as Special Stage Route 5, including both long straights and technical sections with tricky corners.

They are still street legal, so if you like, we can sell them to you after the race.

Lastly, for the aesthetics (and aerodynamics), we have some basic upgrades, too.
For the R34, VX Lip kit, Carbon GT Wing and the tow hook have been installed. It rolls on TE36SL H rims, is painted orange and (like all cars we work on) has our shop’s sticker.

For the C110, it also has the VX Lip kit installed. To keep its tail down to the ground, the VX Duck spoiler was added. An oil cooler can be seen sticking out from the front of the car (unfortunately, PCR, doesn’t really simulate anything with it so it’s just a cosmetic thing) and the wheels are the XR-5’s. (And the sticker, how can we forget the sticker?? XD)

Finally, I hope our cars are well prepared for the upcoming race and, although we would have less points than the rest of the contenders, hope we will manage to score decently. Good luck to everyone and see you there!
