I thought horsepower was the only factor that determined how fast a car was going, then I wondered why all Semi trucks are so slow.
I know that horsepower shows also how much your car can tow. Big was my surprise when turned out that an old tractor our family owned had only 32 bhp….. And i thought that it can tow anything.
Well, we’ve got an old 5-ton truck in our family with a 14l I6 diesel. It only peaks at 270hp but makes 800ft/lbs of torque. ;)
Well, like I said in the original post, I thought the exhaust pipe had to be at the back, because otherwise the car would travel the wrong way.
XD, but what about reverse?
Lol same. I thought the more exhaust pipes you had, the faster you could go. I used to get so excited when I saw a car with 2 or 4 exhaust pipes.
I didn’t think or say any of these? I only said that antenna is missing when I was sitting on the backseat of Volvo and parents said bullsh*it, you can’t see it in this speed and when we stopped they saw that it had fallen off and I had my smug face on.
My father used to tell me the “R” on the gear knob stood for “race”. Yeah…
My father used to say the same ;) it’s either race or rallye mode 🙈😂
We (classmates) joke that the R mode is for “Rocket” mode :D

I honestly don’t remember thinking anything too stupid, but my friend used to insist that cars weighed between 2 and 3 tonnes. I would answer “yeah, an armored Hummer does”. Also when I told him a Miata for example was less than a tonne, he said, “no that’s impossible, dude, cars have like engines and stuff they arent made of plastic” To this day he still thinks he’s right, and all the facts I showed him from websites can’t be right :’)
what miata? a new miata does weigh over a tonne 1.05 tonnes to be exact lol
I have a photo in front of Multipla when I was a kid. I thought it’s very interesting. It was right when it came out
