I got an 2002 Octavia 1,9 TDI with stated 110HP. But the engine is rather dead.
I know it has more to give, because some times it kicks in for a good 5-8 seconds and have all the power in the world, with a whole new roar. And then it dies again. Any ideas?
I’ve got the thought that it might be something with the turbo, but I don’t know.
The loss of power is rather bad, I can’t keep up with the speedlimit in 5th gear in hills.
Something what could help me to drive eco in city. On highway it’s about 5l/100km and that’s pretty good.
