When i get my car (Miss Stang/86 foxbody) fixed i intend to give it some boost, but i dont know what i should use. I prefer superchargers, so if anyone knows what would be best, please feel free to let me know.
So, I decided it was the time to upgrade my Foxbody. I wanted to shave 3 seconds off of my 15.2 second 1/4 time. I started by upgrading the heads and intake with the Ford Explorer GT40’s I got off a junk yard car for $64. Then, I ordered a 70mm TB, Cold Air, and 24# injectors and all together was right at $250. The car was tuned by a friend for $100 and the car was making 297 whp and 356 lb of torque. I later ran the car at a local track and made 12.47 @132 mph. So, no you don’t need expensive stuff to make a car fast. Plus the pushrod 302 loves bolt ons.
