Hey guys,
i’m thinking of buying some diesel 156 as a car for daily use. I have some friends with 156, GT and so on.., and they have never had any problems with them, but yea, they are mostly busso-oriented guys so i don’t have any first-hand experience with diesel engine.
Do you have some more information about these engines like what should one be aware of in terms of service costs, what’s the difference in fuel consumption between these two etc. Which one would you choose if you were in my position? Is 2.4jtd worth the extra power or should I stick to simple old 1.9 with good mpg?
Thank you in advance for any useful informations and suggestions!

What should be first?
What should i do with this 156 1.8 t spark. The crank shaft bearing is going and seems to good to go to car heaven.
Thanks in advance

Hello Guys! I know that this question is not regarding the Alfa 156. There is not an Alfa GT forum on carthrottle it seems :) So, since the 156 had the JTS engine I thought this would be the appropriate forum :) My question is very simple…Is the 2.0 JTS engine in the Alfa GT naturally aspirated? My friend is interested in buying one, so he took a look at one example. The reason I am asking is that the owner is telling him it is a turbo which suspicious. I told him there are not turbo Alfa GTs, other than it being modified, but he does not believe me. I researched the internet and confirmed my suspicion that it is not a turbo. Nevertheless, I wanted to ask here just to be sure. Cheers :)
I don’t know what caused this but when i press the throttle the car makes a weird noise. It sounds like a rusty spring and I dont know how to fix it. Please leave your suggestions to fix this thing.
