According to researchers, the average American is exposed to over 3000 ads every single day. Whether these are found on the internet, on the radio or on the box, what we see is the result of over $620 billion of marketing spend a year.
In between incessant repeats and torturing reality shows, adverts have found an unusual place in our hearts and indeed it would be hard to imagine a world free of corporate bias, lavish sets and tempting products. It is fair to say though, that car and automotive adverts really are the cream of the crop, and this post celebrates 50 of the top car advertisements ever made in our opinions. Epic post Tony! I’ve got to say that my favourite ads are made by Honda, and the cogs ad and the “Impossible Dream” are easily my favourites.

Thanks Adnan! Honda is definitely the most creative of the advertisers I’ve seen. For shorter ads, Lincoln’s new ones are particularly cool I think, lots of good stuff!

Awesome post, my favorites were the Honda “Cog” commercial – I’ve seen that before – and the Pontiac Spyhunter one. Some really good finds in there.

There was a good commercial in either 2008 or 2009, but I don’t recall what it was for. It featured an older guy driving down a desert road by himself, he sees a car approaching fast in rear-view mirror, has dialogue with himself, then gets passed by the approaching car…who is minding their own business. Anyone know what car this was for?
