The new 9-5 is a crucial vehicle for Saab.  If you're reading this site, you're probably aware of the financial troubles that the Swedish automaker, recently kicked to the curb by GM after 20 years of neglect, is going through.  It hasn't been pretty, and it still isn't going smoothly - no cars are rolling off the line at Tröllhattan at the time of this writing, because there still isn't money to pay employee wages.  It's dire times indeed.  What Saab desperately needs is a good car to sell. I can't call the current 9-3 a bad car, because it isn't - it's a good car, just like it was when it came out in 2003.  But 8 years is a very long time for a car

Saab Releases Official Specs on 2010 9-5

Excuse me for being excited, but it's been a while. Geneva 2009: Saab 9-3x

Saab's answer to the Volvo XC70 and Subaru Outback has finally debuted.  Although spy shots have been circulating for what honestly seems like eternity, the first official pictures of Saab's newest model, the 9-3x, have finally arrived.  Read on for the low-down of this niche-stuffer. On the outside, it's... well, a 9-3 SportCombi (that's "wagon" to those of us not drinking the cool-aid!) with more ground clearance and some black plastic cladding.  Call it a 9-3 Cross Country.  It's nothing new. Of course, the basic 9-3 SportCombi is quite a pretty car, so the 9-3x is only a little uglier.  Ground clearance is increased by 1.4" over the standard 9-3 wagon, so don't go taking this one down the Rubicon trail.  New 17" wheels, twin tail pipes,
