A Mix of Classical Music and Horsepower

Synfonica2

Form67.net makes some of the coolest videos on YouTube.  They mix art and automobiles better than most of the pretentious fish-eye-lens-and-Supra crowd out there.  Their videos are always worth a few minutes of your time. This new one, "Mechanical Synfonica" is pretty awesome as well.  It combines beautiful women, an Audi RS5 and an E92 M3 battling on a mountain road, and a Symphony.  If nothing else, it'll make you smile for five minutes (and four seconds.)  Check it out:

Not a huge fan of a Rieger body kit on an M3, but the scene where the M3 and the RS5 both pull out of the gravel with wheels spinning more than makes up for it in my eyes.  And the contrast of

VIDEO: MT and CD Pit CTS-V Against RS5, M3 In Must See Footage

The joys of being an automotive journalist at an established print magazine? Spending your days testing vehicles like these for the rest of the world to pore over. Ironically, this test incorporates three of our most favorite vehicles from Audi, BMW and Cadillac all into one test - imagine that! One of which, the RS5, was just announced as coming over to the United States. There is no loser here - each one of these is fantastic high-end, high-tech machinery that we would love to have in our drive way. But what is the best of the bunch? Both Car and Driver and Motor Trend undertook similar tests, and produced video footage to prove it. C&D's footage-only video is first, while MT with its video review is second.

Audi RS5 Headed to the United States

It is a tradition for automotive journalists in the United States to whine about the variants and models, usually of the performance variety, that aren't sold here on our shores. So who are we to break that tradition? Seriously though, while Audi sells cars like the S6 and S4 over here, they save the most high performance models in their lineup (RS6 we're looking at you) for Europe. The Audi A5 is one of our favorite Audis, a model that is just crying out for the RS treatment. New pictures of the RS5 trim level were recently released. Now, Edmunds' Inside Line is giving confirmation of the car's arrival in our market. Excited? Yes! The news isn't entirely surprising though, given Audi's success and the praise the standard A5

After a record setting quarter, they introducing the L model of the Audi A8 at the Beijing Auto Show, and now are releasing new images of the RS5. Instead of the engine lineup we get here, the RS5 has a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 making 450 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. Unfortunately, it is not for Americans though - at least at the moment. The RS5 isn't currently intended for our to shores right now. For now, these pictures are the closest most of us will get. We're still hoping the red, white and blue color scheme is a little

VIDEO: Audi RS5 Meets Up with the Ur-Quattro

We're big fans of Audis here at CarThrottle, especially the ones that go fast! The new Audi RS5, introduced at the Geneva Auto Show, definitely falls into that category. The standard A5 is already one of our favorite vehicles that we can't wait to get our hands on, and the RS model doesn't make things any easier. Audi feels our pain a bit by dropping a new promotional video of the car on the track and on the road. There have been tons of speculation and renderings over the past few months about a new successor to the Ur-Quattro based on the A5. We have yet to see if that will come to pass, but the RS5 isn't a bad replacement. Anyhow, Audi must see it as

Geneva 2010: Audi RS5 Packs 450hp V8

We've been expecting it for a while, and now it's here. Enthusiasts have been guessing that Audi would bring out an ultra-high performance variant of the svelte A5 Coupe since it debuted, but the specifics were a bit cloudy.  With the Geneva show approaching quickly, pictures and technical details of the RS5 Coupe have hit the 'web, and it sounds like it's going to be an absolute stormer. On the outside, the RS5 gets the typical subtle RS-style makeover we've come to know and love.  It's a fantastic look, to be sure - but then again, when you start with a car as strikingly beautiful as the A5, it's sort of hard to screw it up.  The new coupe takes a lot of styling cues from
