Infiniti's new M was just released on Tuesday night, with the full information drop of press photography coming along with it. As is often the case though, many new vehicles look even better in the metal than they do in static imagery. To help rectify that, many manufacturers have been releasing videos of their new models quickly after introduction. For those wanting to know more about how a new car looks, that is a good thing. LA 2009: Infiniti M56, M37 Official

The Infiniti M was officially introduced yesterday at a special event in Beverly Hills - in the metal, with all the information out (except pricing) in its entirety.  We've known the look of Infiniti's 5-Series competitor for quite some time, after it was introduced virtually at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. A bit later, some live pictures of the car were snapped. Now, the specifications are out, as well as the whole gamut of press photos - no virtual trickery here. The most startling revelation here though is not to be found in the photos - its in the specifications list! The biggest indicator about the dramatic change ought to be in the car's name. M45 is no more - M56 is the new designation -

Official: 2011 Infiniti M

Infiniti's range-topping model, the M, has been in production since 2006. We've been hearing rumors and speculation about the M's (Nissan Fuga in Japan) replacement for a while now, and we finally have pictures and details to shed some light on this upcoming luxury-sports sedan. I personally am a big fan of the current M, and my road test of a well-equipped M45 Sport can be found here.  The M has always been a good middle ground in the mid-size luxury market - competing with cars like the Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5-series, among others.  I found it to balance performance, comfort, refinement and gee-whiz technology quite well, with a feel of athleticism that's absent from many of it's competitors - and all for a (class-reasonable)
