Land Rover LRX Spied, FWD and Hybrid Models Confirmed

Yesterday, the production Land Rover LRX was caught testing. Since last September, production of the LRX has been confirmed by Phil Popham, Land Rover’s managing director. The concept was introduced at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Mind you, the LRX moniker hasn't been confirmed - Land Rover has yet to officially confirm that name. It is clearly the production version of the concept though. Yes, that is the LRX. Often manufacturers introduce good-looking concepts only to significantly water them down for production. That doesn't seem to be the case with Land Rover and the "new small Range Rover." Good thing? Yes. Land Rover LRX confirmed

The Land Rover LRX Concept that debuted at the North American International Auto Show in 2008 has a lot of fans (I'm one of them). But as sometimes can be the case, the vehicles remain concept-only regardless. Thankfully that isn't the case this time, as Land Rover has made a production announcement about the LRX . While we usually don't have exact dates, Autocar says there is a high likelihood Land Rover

ARK ReDesigns Offers a LRX-like Conversion

Well, per usual aftermarket companies are performing conversions and doing things to vehicles that the cautious original manufacturers may be reluctant to undertake. Now, an company is offering a new conversion based on the Land Rover Sport. Notice any similarities? I thought so. The company clearly is trying to be as close to the LRX Concept as possible, with the similar color and photographic setting. It definitely has been well thought out by skilled people at the company; the proportions look perfect and the vehicle seems as if it is right from the factory, the way any good conversion should be. There isn't a whole lot of details on this yet, I assume they will be forthcoming. It's good to see companies like ARK ReDesigns carving out a niche for themselves. You have to wonder
