Videos: Aston Martin One-77, Land Rover Evoque

If it seems like we've been hearing about the Aston Martin One-77 for a long time, that would be correct. Aston Martin has been teasing and showing off the supercar for what seems like ages. And the kicker? It still isn't even out yet. Aston isn't done with the information trickling out yet either. They've introduced a new video as part four of a series on the car. An interesting fact about the One-77 is that, at 750 horsepower, it is the world's highest output naturally-aspirated vehicle. It achieves that power output from a 7.3-liter V-12 engine. Land Rover LRX Spied, FWD and Hybrid Models Confirmed

Yesterday, the production Land Rover LRX was caught testing. Since last September, production of the LRX has been confirmed by Phil Popham, Land Rover’s managing director. The concept was introduced at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Mind you, the LRX moniker hasn't been confirmed - Land Rover has yet to officially confirm that name. It is clearly the production version of the concept though. Yes, that is the LRX. Often manufacturers introduce good-looking concepts only to significantly water them down for production. That doesn't seem to be the case with Land Rover and the "new small Range Rover." Good thing? Yes. Land Rover sees this new model as an essential component to growing the brand and attracting a new buyer base. We see a heavy amount

Land Rover LRX Coming

British nameplates are enjoying somewhat of a renaissance these past few years - Bentley, MINI and Rolls-Royce have all been successful under BMW and VW's ownership. Now Jaguar and Land Rover are coming out with impressive new. The XF mid-size sedan has led the charge at Jaguar, followed up by the XJ flagship sedan. Land Rover has held it's own, but will there be a breakthrough new product for them too? Maybe so! The Land Rover LRX concept was well-received, and for good reason. The LRX is attractive and promised to bring something new to Land Rover, which is celebrating it's the 40th anniversary of the Range Rover on June 17, 2010. While we usually don't have exact dates, Autocar says there is a high likelihood Land Rover

Future JLR Vehicles to Be Aluminum

Jaguar has used aluminum structures extensively in it's flagship models the XJ and XK. Using aluminum enables there to be a significant reduction in weight, and a host of other improvements that comes along with that. For instance higher fuel economy that results in lower consumption and emissions, etc. The weight savings are quite pronounced - for instance the XF sedan weighs more than the new XJ. While costly, aluminum has a lot of benefits and apparently Jaguar will be employing them more in the future. I think it's a good idea - it's something that has and will continue to help Jaguar differentiate itself from others in the luxury segment. The lighter weight really does deliver a host of benefits.  The real news here is that it
