Land Rover LRX Spied, FWD and Hybrid Models Confirmed

Yesterday, the production Land Rover LRX was caught testing. Since last September, production of the LRX has been confirmed by Phil Popham, Land Rover’s managing director. The concept was introduced at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Mind you, the LRX moniker hasn't been confirmed - Land Rover has yet to officially confirm that name. It is clearly the production version of the concept though. Yes, that is the LRX. Often manufacturers introduce good-looking concepts only to significantly water them down for production. That doesn't seem to be the case with Land Rover and the "new small Range Rover." Good thing? Yes. Land Rover sees this new model as an essential component to growing the brand and attracting a new buyer base. We see a heavy amount

That Was Quick: Jaguar Land Rover Turns a Profit

Jaguar and Land Rover have been doing quite well for themselves lately in terms of a new introductions. The new Jaguar XF mid-size sedan has been a hit product, the range-topping (and high profit margin) XJ is coming, and at Land Rover sales of the Range Rover have held up better than expected. It appears that those combined factors are helping the Jaguar and Land Rover to move from red to black. In the world of business as well as fashion, black is always in. In that that time, sales for Jaguar Land Rover increased by about 23%, for a total of 44,300 vehicles compared to

Feedback from our customer research (also) fully supports our belief that a production version of the LRX Concept would further raise the desirability of our brand and absolutely meet (their) expectations,” said Phil Popham, Land Rover's managing director. I agree with that assessment. For the future of the Land Rover brand, I think producing the LRX is a smart move that will help attract a wider audience. The most interesting thing

New Ranger Rover Pricing is Released

The British luxury automotive brands are on a roll lately, aren't they? Jaguar, Land Rover, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce - all luxury brands hailing from England. For that matter, MINI has done very well too, even though it's not a luxury brand like any of the ones mentioned. Now it's too bad none of these companies are under British ownership, but they have been designed and built in Britain so that has to count for something. Maybe someone will someday revive a more affordable, mainstream British brand. Well, I'm digressing quite a bit. The story here is that Land Rover has released pricing for it's latest and greatest, the Range Rover. Rolls-Royce of SUVs? Without a doubt. The Range Rover has continued to show sales resilience for Land
