The yearly SEMA (Special Equipment Manufacturers Association) show happens in Las Vegas.  That's enough reason to want to go to it.  But more than the exotic locale (way better than, err, Detroit), SEMA is a hotbed of aftermarket parts.  If you're inclined to think this is a no-big-deal sort of affair, that's not the case.  The SEMA show attracts so much attention that manufacturers themselves have been getting into the SEMA game for a few years now, whether directly or through various 3rd party companies.

Kia isn't a company that's been known for producing exciting, attractive vehicles in the past. They're trying to change that, though, and the greatest example of this is the upcoming Forte Koupe.  And yes, Coupe is spelled with a K.  I don't get it either. I must say, though, the "Koupe" is a clean, attractive design for a FWD compact coupe.  It's got a LARGE dose of current-generation Civic in the styling, but if you're going to immitate - immitate the best, right? This posting is a bit late because I'm knackered from running around on the floor of the New Your International Auto Show, but I promised you a couple of significant debuts that happened today, and so here they are: The first major debut was from Subaru, with the new 2010 Outback Wagon. Subaru stated that they were the top brand within the US so far in 2009. So with the introduction of the Legacy and the Outback models, Subaru is in a strong position to weather the current market conditions, with some of the most loyal core buyers in the industry.
