Ford's EcoBoost has been a rare engine that has truly lived up to all the hype surrounding it. The V-8 performance, combined with V-6-like fuel economy of the twin-turbocharged engines is pretty amazing. The good thing is that this technology will not be limited to just a few high-end models, it will be spread across the entire lineup over the next few years, coming to 4-cylinder engines as well. Coming out of difficult financial straits, one of the things promised by Ford and the revamped "New GM" was quicker product cycles and more significant updates. Particularly with Ford, a criticism of the past has been letting successful models languish without updating. Now, things are different at, with Alan Mulally in charge and new products from Ford, Lincoln and Mercury (the lonely Milan) demonstrating the changes. From the Fusion to the Fiesta, to the Taurus to the line of new products at Lincoln, Ford is undergoing a product renaissance.
