Test Drive: 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si

Bangle.  Chris Bangle. That's all I can think of when I look at a BMW Z4.  I can see his trademark styling all over these cars, and when Bangle's Bungles first started hitting the road, all it made me want to do was punch babies and scream.  "How can he do this to us?  Our cherished BMWs!  He's ruining them!" But you know, the Z4 has been on US roads now since 2002.  That's 9 years to soak up the Z4's unusual styling, and to be honest it's rather grown on me.  Not to mention the fact that the Z4 wasn't actually styled by Bangle, the styling was directed by Bangle.  So if you want to punch someone, look up Anders Warming. Really though, the (E85-chassis)

Geneva 2010: Bentley Continental GTC SuperSports

The Continental SuperSports sits at the top of Bentley's range, as the halo performance variant of the Phaeton-based Continental range.  It's a bit out of place in my mind, to be honest:  carbon fibre this and that, parcel shelf instead of a back seat, E85 flex-fuel capability, a horse-ton of horsepower, Darth Vader-on-meth styling, and a top speed that clears 200mph by a comfortable margin are not things one associates with an "old money" traditional British luxury brand.  Still, it's awesome in an "I don't quite understand this" sort of way - there's no obvious reason for it's existence, but aren't you glad it exists in the first place? Well if you're a fan of the Continental SuperSports, by the transitive property you should be even

Saab Releases Official Specs on 2010 9-5

Excuse me for being excited, but it's been a while. And by a while, I mean 12 years.  And by "it" I mean the introduction of a new 9-5.  We've heard a lot about the car that is to save Saab (if anything will) here on CarThrottle, but Saab has finally put out it's official set of press releases for the new 9-5 and now we've got all the little details to share with you.  On paper at least it looks extremely promising in a lot of regards, but the proof's in the pudding...  or at least behind the wheel.  Still, get 'em while they're hot: new Saab 9-5 specifications! As you probably know, the new 9-5 sits on the Epsilon II chassis shared with the Opel

Geneva 2009: Bentley Continental Supersports

It's a strange world we live in.  Banks are going belly up, Wall Street's in turmoil, car sales in China are down, Lexus is making a credible sports sedan, and America has a literate president.  It only stands to reason that Bentley would see fit to introduce an "environmentally friendly" car. Then again, a Bentley is "Green" in much the same way the Ford Focus RS is a green car. So when Bentley says it's latest model is environmentally friendly, they mean it has 621bhp and will do 204 mph. I'm being serious, though.  The boys at Crewe started with the opulent 604bhp Continental GT Speed, then converted the massive 6.0L Biturbo W12 motor to run on either dead dinosaurs or decomposed corn.  Since the effective octane
