In 2009, Bugatti showed off its 16C Galibier Concept, a preview of a future high-performance luxury sedan. Instead of showing it at the Geneva Show, the company held a private event just ahead of the event. This was due to the fact that the head of Bugatti didn't like showing vehicles that might not be produced. However, all indications have pointed to production for the car, as it has been shown to prospective clients and dealers to gauge interest since its introduction. Since then Powered by the same 8.0-liter 16-cylinder as the Veyron, the 16C Galibier would be the world's fastest production sedan. New Bugatti 16C Galibier Images

Last we heard about the Bugatti 16C Galibier, rumor had it that it was given the greenlight for production. The car is currently being shown at private Bugatti events where former (and future) customers, dealers and "opinion makers" are shown the vehicle. The latest place it has turned up is at the Ace Gallery in Beverly Hills, California. As can be expected, Bugatti does things is much different than other automakers - when you're building limited run, $1,500,000 cars you better make sure there is a market for them. Ah, the Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept. The on-again/off-again Bugatti sedan that rumors have swirled about for quite some time. It wasn't shown at Frankfurt, but instead given it's own introduction. The head of Bugatti Franz-Josef Paefgen said he didn't like seeing cars at auto shows, only to have them not be built.
