Car Spotting in LA: Charles Agapiou Rolls Royce/Bentley

I'm almost done with the Los Angeles car spotting articles.  In these last two sections, we'll be looking at two dealers in Hollywood to give you a taste of the good life.  Going down Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood, in search of an In-N-Out Burger (which I can report is just as good as everyone says it is!), I saw this Rolls Royce Corniche convertible parked curbside.  Hmm... And a jet-black Bentley Turbo R behind it.  If there's a better name for a Bentley out there than Turbo R, I'm not aware of it.  I got out of the car and wandered up the sidewalk into the front lot of Charles Agapiou Ltd Bentley/Rolls Servicing and Sales.  A dealer and shop that specializes in

Bertone Mantide Heading to Production – For $2 Million

It is often (correctly) said that the Corvette is a bargain it's price class, competing head on with much more expensive vehicles  from brands like like Ferrari, Lamborghini and the like. The Corvette's basis has been used by renowned Italian design house Stile Bertone to create a car much more expensive than anything from those marques; the Mantide.   The Corvette has proven to be one of the most versatile vehicles for coachbuilders to base their wares on. Out of all those creations though, the Mantide promises to be the ultimate. Coachbuilders To Debut New Models

If you like Italian design and/or coachbuilding, this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy will be a real treat. The event, very similar to our own Concours de Elegance, kicks of on April 24th and 3 coachbuilders (2 Italian) are said to be debuting new vehicles. Bertone,  Zagato and British sports-car manufacturer Morgan are the companies. Legendary designer Stile Bertone's rumored debut is a highly anticipated V8-powered 2-seater in the vein of 2008's B.A.T 11. Speculation is that Zagato will be debuting the finalized production version of the Perana Z-One (pictured). I wonder what changes the car will get on it's way to production. If true, it will be the only production vehicle debuting at the show (which will also have displays from many other companies). Morgan's
