Audi Announces Two New Packages for RS6

In terms of insane sports sedans, Audi's RS6 sedan would have to rank around the top of the list. Unfortunately, those of us in the United States aren't able to experience it. Instead, we get the more sedate S6 model that packs 435 horsepower from its V-10 versus 580 (!) hp for the RS6. As if it weren't exclusive enough, Audi has announced two new, limited-edition packages for the RS6. The packages are dubbed Sport (now seriously Audi, a sport RS6?!) and Audi exclusive. They are restricted to just 500 examples of each. The models have a top speed of 188 mph and feature a Carbon design package for the engine compartment, 20-inch wheels, and sports suspension plus (again, as if they weren't already!)  Each will have

Audi Next-Gen RS6 Downsizing Mill?

It seems that Audi is thinking about things like engine size these days ... and if you think that car makers like BMW are already downsizing, this isn't all that surprising. Audi is already replacing the V-8 engine in their S5 and S4 models with a smaller supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 unit. And it looks like Audi is looking at doing the same thing with other engines. For example, look at the 3.2-liter V-6. That mill will be gone from the 2010 model year TT, the A4 3.2 quattro Tiptronic and A5 3.2 quattro manual, as well as the A3 3.2 S-tronic quattro.
